Boston Recap

6/16/2015

My trip to Boston in May was much needed. With an AP exam running late into the afternoon on Friday, my family and I left Saturday morning. It was a short, but very full weekend.  We went to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins in the Boston suburbs for my cousin's first communion. We arrived to the church early. So, I had the chance to walk about the picturesque New England town. I was so glad I had worn my new Lilly for Target navy shift dress.  I had the best time just walking around!

On Sunday, it was Mother's Day so we all went downtown to the city. First stop, a visit to the iconic Make Way for Ducklings statue with my younger cousins.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we took a walk through Boston’s Public Gardens. Everyone was out enjoying the day and it was fun see the famous Swan Boats full of visitors. While the dads took my younger cousins to play at a park near the Charles River, my mom, aunt, and grandma headed to Newbury Street for a little shopping. We stopped at Georgetown Cupcake, In The Pink, and Vineyard Vines. It was so fun to visit stores that aren't here in Chicago! (Yet!)

Afterwards, we all met up at Legal Sea Foods Long Wharf right by Boston Harbor for an absolutely delicious and filling dinner. It was right across from the New England Aquarium so we stopped by after dinner to take some sealfies!

We said goodbye to my cousins and grandparents and my family and I moved into a nearby hotel. Then we walked around for a bit and soaked up the beautiful city. Overall, it was the best trip despite how short it was, and I hope to be back soon!

Have you ever been to Boston?

xoxo,
Kathleen
